The very friendly lady arrived shortly after and was very apologetic. They sent a housekeeping lady up to my room. And again, they were very nice and very apologetic. And again our room had not been cleaned! Went down to the front desk. Guess what? Towels and bed sheets as well as dirty dishes in the hallway. The following morning we left our room at 8am to come back at 4:45pm. Front desk asked at what time the following morning we would want the room cleaned.
We turned this down as we needed the room. I called the front desk, they were very apologetic and offered immediate housekeeping service. Nobody seemed to be responsible for cleaning this hallway. Also the hallway of the 8th floor was full of room service trays that other guests had left there the night before (!), empty beer glasses and piles and piles of used bed sheets and towels. When we returned to our room at 6:15pm, the room hadn't been cleaned. We were told that our room would be cleaned before 4:30pm. Overall impression: very good location: down town area, restaurants near by, river walk parking: good (self parked in adjacent hotel garage) Front desk staff: very friendly, very professional! Bar/restaurant staff: great, especially Terri (?), the lady waiting tables on the patio, and Alexis Housekeeping: barely good enough if this was a two-star hotel. However, we were not completely satisfied this time. I have stayed there repeatedly in the past (before covid) and never had any complaints, great stay every time, great service.
